We had over 100 women in attendance at the Hastings Arts Center for our inaugural event!  Our Core 10 Team voted before the event to fill up to our venue capacity so we could be as inclusive as possible. Membership spots filled fast and we were delighted about the excitement and desire to participate! The energy in the room was palpable!

Our three presenting charities were chosen from eleven who submitted applications on time.  Each organization gave a 7-minute presentation at the event.  After the presentations and time for questions, the membership cast their votes.  Cycling Without Age by Hastings Area Rotary Club was our Impact Award Winner! However, we believe each of the presenting charities was a winner since there was new awareness, support, and also incredible generosity displayed by many members through the Above & Beyond giving initiative. The Above & Beyond Giving initiative was championed by Carlson Capital Management's Women's Initiative who provided matching funds of $3000 for gifts given beyond a member's $100 commitment for the evening. Here’s the final financial breakdown of the gifts shared...

$11,800 was raised for our Impact Award winner, Cycling Without Age by Hastings Area Rotary Club.  Of this total was an additional $1000 in Above & Beyond Giving for Cycling Without Age from our members.  We collected an additional $700 from members not in attendance, to keep their roster spot. (This $700 was NOT part of the Above & Beyond Giving initiative and was not calculated in the Above & Beyond Giving matching funds of $3000 donated by the Women's Initiative from Carlson Capital Management.) The portion of the match from Carlson Capital Management for Cycling Without Age was 16% = $480 in additional funds. The final number is $12,980 for Cycling Without Age.

Thrive in Hastings, MN received $3860 in Above & Beyond Giving from members, and will receive an additional 63% of the $3000 Carlson Capital Management Match which is $1890, totaling $5,750! Black Dirt Theater received $1310 in Above & Beyond Giving, and will receive an additional 21% of the $3000 Carlson Match which is $630, totaling $1940!

All in all, Power of 100+ Hastings Women raised $20,670 that night including the match from CCM. This is absolutely amazing! Thank you to each member who made this happen! And, thank you to Hastings Arts Center for providing a beautiful venue to host our event. It is truly incredible. Together, we did make a huge difference!
